International Mentor / Investor
Avi Aravinthan was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the UK at the age of 13 with his family, due to the Civil War. After graduating with a First Class Bsc Honours in Mathematics & Computer Science, Avi went on to do a PhD in Parallel Computing. By 1999, Avi had left academia, moving into the corporate world, working for global companies such as Unisys Corporation and Barclays Bank, where he very quickly moved up the corporate ladder.
In 2001, Avi and his wife decided to move out of London and establish roots in the North West of England. They rented out their first property, purchased in London (where they had previously lived) and became ‘accidental landlords’. Over the next few years, Avi and his wife dabbled in the Buy to Let market, buying a few more properties with savings, as lifestyle investors rather than full-time.
All this changed when Avi and his wife discovered Legacy Education Alliance, Inc. (LEA) training and started to view property investment in a completely different light as a viable and professional business. Since enrolling on LEA’s property investment Training & Mentorship Programme and taking action, Avi’s knowledge and passive income streams have grown exponentially – to the point that he has since achieved financial freedom. Avi has also been able to leave his highly paid corporate job.
Avi and his wife’s investment strategies started off with small Buy to Lets, HMOs and Flips, and has grown to a portfolio of 50+ properties. Avi was able to use very little of his own money due to the strategies and learnings accrued through LEA Training and networking opportunities. Avi’s current portfolio includes Buy to Let’s, Social Housing, HMOs, Distressed Property and Commercial, both in the North West and London.
