International Mentor / Investor
Prior to starting his journey into property investment, Craig Tarr was a student at the University of Bristol, where he graduated in 1999 with a BSc (Hons) in Biology and Environmental Science. As a graduate, job opportunities were limited so Craig went into Financial Services, progressing to build his own consultancy in 2004. Craig worked with many large UK financial institutions, where his roles covered Operations Management, Project Management and Solutions Architect.
These roles exposed Craig to large-scale remediation projects, dealing with pensions, endowments, insurance and mortgage products, often working alongside the Financial Ombudsman Service to ensure regulatory standards and timescales were met and enforced.
Over the last seven years, and with the invaluable support of his Legacy Education Alliance, Inc. (LEA) Training, Craig has built up a varied portfolio. Initially, Craig bought, renovated and sold properties, making a capital lump sum gain and repeating the process, mainly focusing on South Wales and London.
Currently, Craig is working with Local Councils to convert retail premises and their storage areas into residential accommodation, utilising Council grants and loans. This, together with his charity work, allows Craig to provide the highest quality of accommodation to the residential market.
Craig is a family man and believes that with his senior financial and project management experience, coupled with a family background in farming, he has a well-rounded approach to problem solving, across a diverse range of properties and budgets.
